(KENOSHA, Wis., Oct. 11)—The McKendree University men's cross country team registered a 10
th place finish Saturday at the Lucian Rosa Invitational, which was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
There were a total of 17 teams competing in the late-morning race. The University of Windsor captured the team title, followed by host Wisconsin-Parkside and the University of Chicago.
Individually, McKendree placed two runners in the top 60 of the final standings. Freshman
Benjamin Richter (Troy, IL/Triad) had the top performance for the Bearcats as he took 22
nd place overall. Richter covered the course in a time of 25:50.2. Sophomore
Dylan Hartley (Benton, IL/Benton) notched the other top-60 finish for McKendree as he crossed the finish line in 59
th place at 26:45.0.
The McKendree men's cross country team will have a week off before heading to Evansville, Ind., for the Southern Indiana Regional Preview. The men's race is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.
