(EVANSVILLE, Ind., Nov. 22)—The McKendree University men's cross country team sent four runners to race at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regionals held on Saturday in Evansville, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana served as the host for the meet.
The Bearcats had one runner who placed in the top 50 of the final individual standings. Freshman
Benjamin Richter (Troy, IL/Triad) wrapped up a stellar rookie season for the McKendree program by taking 50
th place overall in the 10-kilomoeter race. Richter crossed the finish line with a final time of 32:36.2. Freshman Will McLemore collected 108
th place overall with his effort of 33:55.4.
McKendree was also represented at the NCAA Midwest Regional by sophomore
Dylan Hartley (Benton, IL/Benton) (37:01.6) and freshman Christan Schmidt (38:39.4).
Grand Valley State University captured the team championship, placing in front of runner-up Malone University and host Southern Indiana.
