(LEBANON, Ill., March 28)—Senior
Hannah Inyart (Belleville, IL/Belleville East) raced to an NCAA Division II qualifying standard in the 10,000-meter run Friday night at the Washington University Invitational in St. Louis.
Inyart was fifth among all women competing in Friday's race as she posted a final time of 36:02.19. She was more than a minute below the NCAA provisional mark and 23 seconds ahead of the automatic qualifying mark. This was Inyart's first outdoor race at 10,000 meters this season.
In the 5,000-meter run, McKendree was led by freshman
Karyn Paisley (Macomb, IL/Macomb) with a time of 19:05.45. Also finishing the 5,000-meter event for the Bearcats were fellow freshmen
Linette Hernandez (Granite City, IL/Granite City) (19:45.79) and Cheyenne Pinkstaff (20:10.91).
McKendree will be in action on Saturday at the Central Methodist University Open to be held in Fayette, Mo.
