(LEBANON, Ill., May 11)—The McKendree University women's track and field wrapped up its outdoor regular season by participating in the Eastern Illinois University Last Chance Meet on Friday in Charleston, Ill.
 
In all, there were four Bearcats who turned in top-five performances at the meet. McKendree had two runners grab a top-five slot in the 800-meter run. Sophomore Karis Johnson (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence Central) was less than a second from the top spot, placing third overall at 800 meters with a final time of 2:16.12 Senior Christine Cunningham (St. Jacob, IL/Triad) was next in fourth place at 2:19.37.
 
Junior Christine Ackermann (Aschaffenburg, Bavaria/Dalberg-Gymnasium) collected a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, posting a final time of 12:13.74 in the race. Freshman Christina Hill (Okawville, IL/Okawville) rounded out the list of top finishers for the Bearcats at the EIU Last Chance Meet as she brought home fifth place in the javelin throw. Hill had a long toss of 33.09 meters.
 
The 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 21-23 on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. Qualifiers will be announced later this week.
