(Birmingham, AL., March 10) – McKendree University sophomore
DeMontez McCray (O'Fallon, IL/O'Fallon) posted a personal best time of 21.21 seconds in the preliminary round of the 200-meter at the NCAA Indoor Championships Friday evening in Birmingham, AL.
Mobolade Ajomale from the Academy of Art finished with the top preliminary time with a finish of 21.09 seconds. Ajomale, a sophomore, has also competed as an Olympian for Canada.
McCray took home the top time in heat four and will return to the track in the finals of the 200-meter tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. Sophomore Quincy McSweeney will also compete in the finals of the 800-meter on Saturday at 4 p.m.
