2015 Neuqua Valley Track & Field Invitational
Date: Friday, April 24, 2015
Location: Neuqua Valley High School, 2360 95th Street Naperville, IL 60564
Teams: Benet, Metea Valley, Minooka, Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Oswego East, Waubonsie Valley, Wheaton Warrenville South
Facility: Team camps will be in the visitor stands located on the east side of the
track. Tents will not be allowed in the stadium. All tents should be set up on the out
outside of the fence by the visitor stands. available on the the southwest corner and
northwest corner of the stadium. Tents will be allowed in these areas only. Athletes
should remain in the stands or at their team camps unless they are competing. The
only athletes allowed on the football field are those competing in the long jump, triple
jump, pole vault, or high jump and those athletes at the check-in tent for their races.
Please inform your teams that stands will be available on the infield for spectators
viewing the long jump, triple jump, high jump, and pole vault.
Admission: Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children and senior citizens.
Concession Stand: The concession stand will be available and is located at the south end of the stadium.
Varsity Entries: 2 per individual event; 1 relay
JV Entries: 2 per individual event; 1 relay
Coaches’ Meeting: There will be a coaches meeting at the finish line at 3:45pm.
Field events will run as follows:
-Long Jump: JV and Varsity will be run simultaneously to completion. JV 4 jumps, no finals. Varsity 3 jumps, 9 to finals.
-Triple Jump: JV and Varsity will be run simultaneously after the completion of Long Jump. JV 4 jumps, no finals. Varsity 3 jumps, 9 to finals.
-High Jump: Varsity first followed by JV. Starting heights will be determined at the coaches’ meeting.
-Pole Vault: Varsity first followed by JV. Starting heights will be determined at the coaches’ meeting.
-Discus: Varsity first to completion- 3 throws, top 9 to finals followed by JV- 4 throws, no finals.
-Shot: JV first to completion- 4 throws, no finals followed by Varsity-- 3 throws, 9 to finals
Awards:
Varsity: Medals 1st-3rd places, ribbons 4th-6th places
JV: Medals 1st place, ribbons 2nd-6th places
A team plaque will be awarded to both the JV and Varsity team champions.
Scoring: 8-6-4-3-2-1
Pre-Order Apparel: Boomer T’s will be handling the spirit wear for our invitational. Your athletes may order ahead of time and pick their order up at the meet by going to this website http://store.boomerts.com/nevatrandfii.html. Boomer T’s will also be at the meet for onsite ordering.
Times:
The official start time will be 4:30pm for field events/5:00pm for running events
(All events are run JV followed by Varsity.)
