Track:                  We have a 400m all-weather Seal-Flex six lane track with eight lanes on the straightaway.  Spikes that are ¼” or less may be used.

Shot and Discus:      There will be three flights of around 10 throwers, set up so that no thrower is in the same flight of both events.  Each thrower will have three throws in the preliminary round with the top eight throwers advancing to the final.  The final will consist of three additional throws.   Preliminary throws may count as a final mark.

Long Jump and      There will be one flight of up to 30 jumpers.  Jumpers will be given one hour

Triple Jump:      and thirty minutes to take their four attempts.  After an attempt, an athlete will be allowed to return to 2nd or 3rd in line (piggy-back) to take their next jump right away. They may not do this for 3 or 4 consecutive jumps, but may do it twice for “2 and 2”. Long Jump will go first, then Triple Jump.  If wind is minimal, both events will run at the same time, and the time limit will be two hours.

High Jump and       One flight of up to 30 jumpers will jump running a five-alive.  Starting height

Pole Vault:      will be determined by entry heights.   Athletes in the pole vault will be allowed to take subsequent attempt(s) immediately after a miss (piggy-back).

Concession      A concession stand for the meet will operate on the east end of the track.

Stand:                  Meal items will be available.  Tee-shirts might be available for sale!

Restrooms:      Restrooms are located at the concession area.

Locker Rooms:      No locker rooms will be available.  Woodstock High School will not be responsible for lost items.

Starting Blocks      We will supply starting blocks; you may bring your own.  We will not supply

and Batons:      batons.

Scoring/Awards:      We will score six places: 10-8-6-4-2-1.  First, second and third place will receive medals, and fourth, fifth and sixth places will receive ribbons.

Team Camps:      Team camps should be made outside the fence encircling the track.  The only time any athlete needs to be on the infield is when they are competing.   Inside the track is a restricted area for running events. The only time any coach needs to be on the infield is when they are serving in an official capacity (exchange zone judge, event official).  Once the field events are finished, the infield should be void of athletes and coaches.  Coaches, please help with this.  You can get plenty close to your athletes on the track by standing outside the fence, all the way around the track.

Bullpen:      The bullpen area is located at the west end of the straightaway, near the finish line.  All athletes need to check in at the bullpen for all running events.

Workers:      Coaches will be assigned to judge the relay exchanges.  I ask for one more helper for a field event.
