LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL BOYS INDOOR TRACK
SITE: Lockport Township High School, East Campus, 1333 E. 7th Street
Use the entrance furthest to the West of the building (door #1) for access to field house. Bus parking will be in the district lot to the west of the building.
TIME: * 9:00 a.m.* PLEASE NOTE START TIME.
COMPETING TEAMS: Chicago DeLasalle, Chicago Leo, Lockport, Southland College Prep.
LEVELS: VARSITY /SOPHOMORE
FACILITIES: The indoor track has a Connor-AGA Elastiplus surface, 177.79 meter circumference.
(9 laps = 1600 meters) NO SPIKES OF ANY KIND, FLATS ONLY.
There will be no locker facilities available, only washroom facilities. See diagram for location
NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED IN THE FIELDHOUSE. WE THANK YOU FOR HELPING KEEP OUR FACILITY CLEAN.
RULES: I.H.S.A. track and field rules will be enforced; be aware of uniform rules and event limitations. No personal stereos or boom boxes are allowed. Lockport has a no hat building. We thank you in advance for enforcing these rules with your athletes.
ORDER OF EVENTS
The long jump, pole vault, high jump, and shot put will begin at the contracted starting time. The triple jump will begin after the conclusion of long jump. NOTE: We have allowed ample time to complete the field events before the start of finals. Frosh/soph will run prior to varsity in each event.
We will need the assistance of your assistant coaches in the officiating of a field event to move the meet along.
- 4 X 800 relay international curve start
- 3000 m. run international curve start
- 55 meter high hurdles finals
- 55 meter dash finals
- 600 meter run timed finals
- 4 X 200 meter relay
- 400 meter dash heats, based on time
- 1500 meter run international curve start
- 200 meter dash heats, places based on time,
- 4 X 400 meter relay
- Weight man’s relay 4 X 1 lap
FIELD EVENTS
- Long jump all levels simultaneously, 3 jumps, cafeteria style (45 minute open board)
- Triple jump same as long jump, jumping begins 30 minutes after conclusion of long jump
- Shot put 4 throws
- Pole vault all levels run simultaneously
- High jump all levels run simultaneously
