Arcola Jr. High Track Invitational

ENTRIES: Due by 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23rd

DATES AND TIMES: Saturday, April 25, 2015. Raindate is Monday, April 27th 2015. Coaches meeting will be held at 9:15 sharp.

ADMISSION: Adults $3.00; K-12 $1.00

FACILITIES: 6 lane all-weather track. Long Jump and High Jump are all weather. Shot and discuss are concrete pads. Only ¼” spikes are allowed. PLEASE NO SPIKES ON THE BLEACHERS AND NO WALKING ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD

STAGING AREA: The staging area will be located on the northwest corner of the track. Athletes should enter the track through the northwest gate. No athletes will be allowed to jump the fence.

CONCESSIONS: A concession stand will be open during the track meet. It will be located in the southwest corner of the track facility.

ENTRY FEES: $110

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded for 1st-6th place. In case of a tie, a coin toss will determine who will be rewarded the ribbon. 1st and 2nd place trophies will be given at each level.

ENTRIES: All coaches will receive an email with online entry instructions no later than Monday, April 20th. The deadline for all entries will be Thursday, April 23rd.

SCHEDULE: All hurdle prelims and finals will be run beginning at 10:00 am. There will be 3 attempts and no finals in field events. High Jump starting height for the girls will be 3’8” and for the boys will be 4’0”.

PRELIMS: We will run prelims in the 100 and hurdles only. Finalists will be determined by place and next best times if needed.

FIELD EVENTS: Coaches from each school will be assigned a field event and/or exchange zone to run. Please make sure to recruit 2 or 3 reliable helpers to help you run your event.

POINTS: Ind. Events & Relays - 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 

EQUIPMENT: Tape measures and blocks will be provided. Shots and Discus’ will also be supplied by the host school.

WARM-UPS: Athletes will not be allowed to warm-up at any field event until the prelims and finals in the hurdles have been completed.

GAMES COMM.: The games committee will consist of coaches form Arcola, ALAH and Shiloh, as well as the starter. Decisions made by the committee are final and not subject to appeal.

4x400: All exchanges: CAM and Heritage
