Plains Girls Participate in the Illinois Top Times Meet

Several members of the Plains Girl's Track & Field team qualified and participated in the Illinois Top Times meet this past Friday, March 27th at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. 

Medalists from the meet included: The 4x800 Relay of Lauren Feagans, Carolyn Nika, Carley Hamilton and Ali Pankey. The relay ran a season best indoor time of 10:29.67 which placed them 6th overall of twelve relay teams competing in the event. Ali Pankey also competed in the 800 Meter Run, finishing with a season best time of 2:27.94 and finishing in eighth place overall. Amber Clouser ran the best time of the indoor season in the 60 Meter Hurdles prelim posting a time of 9.56. Amber ran a time of 9.65 in the finals which placed her 5th overall among 24 athletes competing in the event. Hope Tewes participated in the High Jump, placing 3rd overall with a jump of 5'4". Hope also participated in the 60 Meter Dash, posting a time of 8.47. The 4x200 Relay also ran at the meet. The relay of Lauren Feagans, Stephanie Race, Claire Watson and Lauryn Leonard posted a time of 1:56.27. 

Congratulations to all the girls who participated and medaled at this meet. Plains now looks toward the outdoor season with its first outdoor meet, the Greenville Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, April 4th in Greenville, IL.
