Plains Girls Win Triangular

The Plains Girl's Track & Field Team scored 103 points en-route to a win against New Berlin and Sangamon Valley at the Plains Triangular Meet this past Thursday. New Berlin finished second with 31 points followed by Sangamon Valley with 29. 

Top finishers for Plains included:

Amber Clouser, 1st Place Long Jump, Triple Jump and 100 Hurdles. Amber ran the 100 Hurdles in a season best 15.78. Ali Pankey won the High Jump, 800 Meter Run and the 1600 Meter Run; Lauren Leonard swept the short sprints by winning both the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes; Kenzie Schlicht finished in 1st place in the Discus; Stephanie Race won the Pole Vault; and Rachel Lange won the 3200 Meter Run. 

Plains swept the relay events. The 4x800 Relay of Kaeli Olson, Hannah Lee, Faelyn Powell and Kaylee Sims finished in 1st place; The 4x100 Relay of Amber Clouser, Lauryn Leonard, Stephanie Race, and Lauren Feagans finished in 1st place; The 4x200 Relay of Lauren Feagans, Stephanie Race, Claire Watson and Lauryn Leonard placed 1st and the 4x400 Relay of Stephanie Race, Carolyn Nika, Lauren Feagans and Ali Pankey finished in 1st place. 

Other athletes who placed include:

Claire Watson, 2nd place in both the 100 and 200 Meter Dashes; Lauren Feagans, 2nd place in the High Jump; C.J. Schmitt, 2nd place in the Shot Put; Alivia Zaubi, 2nd place in the Pole Vault; Emily Russel, 2nd place, 3200 Meter Run; Carley Hamilton, 2nd place, 800 Meter Run; Carolyn Nika, 2nd place 400 Meter Dash; Roya Nassirpour, 2nd place, 300 Meter Hurdles.
