Plains Girls Win Pawnee Meet

Pleasant Plains Girl’s Track and Field won last night’s track and field meet at Pawnee. Plains scored a total of 137 points en-route to the win over Sangamon Valley, 42 points, Riverton, 27 points and Pawnee, 11 points.

 

Top finishers and highlights included:

 

Hope Tewes, 1st place High Jump. Hope jumped 5’6” to establish a new Pleasant Plains Girl’s High Jump Record, breaking the old record of 5’5” established in 2008 by Emily Becker. Hope also finished in first place in the Triple Jump and won the 200 Meter Dash. 

Amber Clouser, 1st place Long Jump and 100 Hurdles, 2nd place Triple Jump.

C.J. Schmitt, 1st place Shot Put, with a season best put of 31’5”.

Shae Sibert placed 2nd in the Shot Put with a season best put of 30’4”.

4x800 Relay of Stephanie Race, Carley Hamilton, Carolyn Nika and Ali Pankey, 1st place.

4x100 Relay of Amber Clouser, Lauryn Leonard, Lauren Feagans and Hope Tewes, 1st place, with a season best time of 52.13.

Emily Russell, 1st place, 3200 Meter Run, running a PR in the event, 13:56.00. Emily also ran a season best outdoor time in the 1600 Meter Run, placing 2nd overall with a time of 6:35.00.

Michelle Hedlund placed 2nd in the 3200 with a season best time of 15:21.00

Lauryn Leonard, 1st place, 100 Meter Dash, 3rd place Long Jump.

Claire Watson, 3rd place, 100 Meter Dash.

Ali Pankey, 1st place, 800 Meter Run, running a season best outdoor time 2:25.00. Ali also placed 2nd in the High Jump.

Hannah Lee, 3rd place, 800 Meter Run.

4x200 Relay of Lauren Feagans, Stephanie Race, Claire Watson and Lauryn Leonard, 1st place, running a season best 1:52.14.

Jillian Yakel, 2nd place, 400 Meter Run. 

Roya Nassirpour, 1st place, 300 Hurdles. Roya placed 2nd in the 100 Meter Hurdles.

Venla Rajamaki placed 3rd overall in the 1600 Meter Run with a season best outdoor time of 6:39.00

Sarah Livingston, 3rd place, 200 Meter Dash.

4x400 Relay of Carolyn Nika, Stephanie Race, Lauren Feagans and Ali Pankey, 1st place.
