*UPDATE*
The meet will start as scheduled and we will make minor modifications in order to get as much of the meet done today as possible. Scratches/Weigh-in, the Coaches/Officials Meeting, and the start of Field events will remain unchanged as I know that many of you are unable to make the logistical changes it would take to move the start of the meet up any earlier at this point. As of now, the Track event schedule will be moved up 30 minutes and will now start at 4:30pm with the 4x800. For now we will not move the start of running events any sooner as there is a high likelihood that such a move would conflict with the jumps and could prevent us from completing the field events before storms arrive around 6pm due to athletes having to check out. Our main priority tonight is to complete field events and at least the 4x800 if at all possible and we will continue until it is no longer safe to do so. If and when we need to seek shelter due to thunderstorms, we will suspend the meet at that point and resume at approximately 1pm on Saturday. We will also be reversing the order of the heats for all track events (fastest first) in order to get more of the fast heats completed tonight.
Admission: Spectator admission is $5.

Facilities: Adams Field is an 8 lane track. Only rubber soled shoes or shoes with spikes not exceeding 1⁄4 inch length will be permitted. The shot and discus areas are concrete, so rubber soled shoes only may be worn. No scratch marks of any kind will be allowed. Chalk, Tape, Bean bags or half tennis balls may be used. Entrance/Exit of the track and infield will only be via the gate north of the home stands; all other entrances will remain closed.
Infield: No one except for officials, coaches, and competitors will be allowed to enter the track area. Team Camps will be permitted along the west perimeter fence of the stadium. If the ground is too wet, camps can also be on the adjacent asphalt. Please have your teams enter through the main SW gate of the stadium upon arrival.
Track Markings:
White: 200M, 300M IH, 400M, 1600M/3200M Waterfall, Common Finish Line
Gold: 100M, 4x100M Relay exchange, 4x200M Relay 3rd exchange
Blue: 110M HH, 4x400m Relay
Red: 4x200M Relay start, 4x200M Relay 1st&2nd exchange
Locker Facilities: Locker facilities will NOT be provided.
Athletic Trainer: Deerfield High School will have an Athletic Trainer on site. Let us know if you need to see an athletic trainer for last minute taping. Please make sure to have your team bring their own supplies if you anticipate this happening. If you need to use heating packs or other treatment supplies, please notify the athletic trainers in advance by email at kfuesting@dist113.org or kmclenithan@dist113.org
Concessions: There will be concessions available under the home stands.
Events: The Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus will be 3 attempt semis followed by 3 attempts in finals.
Triple Jump will follow Long Jump. Jumpers will have 1 hour to attempt 3 jumps. Weigh-in for Shot Put, and Discus will take place at throws area.
Scoring: Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for all individual events. Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for all relay events.
Awards: The 1st – 3rd place teams will receive a plaque. Varsity athletes finishing 1st - 8th will receive medals.

Long Jump 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals immediately after prelims. Flight 1 on the North Runway, Flight 2 and finals on the South Runway.
High Jump Starting height determined at coaches meeting.
Triple Jump 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals following the Long Jump. Flight 1 on the North Runway, Flight 2 and finals on the South Runway.
Shot Put 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals. Flight 2 on the West Ring, Flight 1 on the East Ring. Finals to follow Discus finals.
Discus 3 Attempts. Top 9 to finals. Flight 1 followed by Flight 2. Finals before Shot Put.
Pole Vault Starting height determined at coaches meeting. Measured on the 1’s and 7’s. Flight 1 on East Pit, Flight 2 on West Pit.
