The Spartans compete in the SPC Championships

Sunday, March 18 2018 - SPC Men's Indoor Championships


The Spartans traveled to Lewis University to compete in the 3rd annual SPC indoor track championships.  The Varsity Spartans finished in 5th place with 45 points.  Leading the way for the Spartans with wins were:

Amiri Buchanan – Shot Put 56’1.5” (career PR)

Xavier Jones – Triple Jump 44’7.5”

2nd place finishers were:

Sir Muhammad – Triple Jump 43’11” (career PR)

3rd place finishers were:

Joe Otchere – 55m dash (6.56 Prelims & 6.62 finals)

Fourth Place finish

Xavier Jones – long jump 20’11”

Joe Otchere – 200m 23.59

5th place finishers:

Daytwone Burge – 55m HH 8.17 (career PR)

6th place finishers:

Dan Ford – 800 m run 2:02.66

4 x 200 m relay – Burge, Kofi Owusu, Sir Muhammad, Otchere 1:35.50

4 x 400m reley – Otchere, Ford, Morgan, Keedan Foster 3:42.73

The Spartans travel to Proviso West next Saturday to compete in the Proviso East Invitational.

 

The young Spartans also traveled to Lewis for the SPC indoor championships and finished in fourth place.  Leading the way for the Spartans were:

1st place finishers were:

Enoch Antwi – Long Jump 20’1” & Triple Jump 42’1/2”

4 x 400 m relay – Tyler Rehbock, Christian Stephens, Joey De La Rosa & Antwi 3:42.61

2nd place finishers were:

Jayden Green – 55m dash 6.79

3rd place finishers were:

Kejuan Stamps – 55m dash 6.82 & High Jump 5’8”

4th place finishers were:

4 x 200 m relay – Jacquille Brown, Antwi, Green & Tyler Rehbock

5th place finishers were:

Jayden Green – High Jump 5’6”

Joey De La Rosa – 400m dash 55.55

6th place finishers

Green – 200m 24.97

Eric Ortiz – Pole Vault 9’
