Molenda & Murphy Invite Wrap Up
Friday, October 2 2020 - Molenda & Murphy InviteYesterday the cross country team hosted the 'Molenda & Murphy' Invite. This was the first meet on campus in over 30 years! It was a great day as the Crusaders swept all 3 races! The frosh-soph were victorious going 1-2-3 with Charley Duggan won his second race of the season, followed closely by Danny Macis & Tommy Witt. Jack Gorman and Antonio Fox placed sixth and ninth to round out the scoring. Joey Bowes & Jack Brouder also ran strong races. All 7 runners ran personal bests!
The varsity team was in a tight battle with Stagg when the heavens opened up and a downpour occurred in the middle of the race. This is exactly what the 'running ugly' harriers needed as they
crushed the second half of the race to secure a 24-32 victory! Mikey Corcoran won his 1st cross country race of this career with Eddie Burke right behind to place first & second. Charlie Walsh, Sean McNally, Sean Deane & Connor Melean all crossed the line within four second of each other and all with personal bests.
Jack Antonsen's individual victory completed the sweep and led the JV team in a two point victory. Seniors Tom Skrypkun, Kevin Lynch, Kyle Gallagher, & Adrian Campos rounded out the scoring. Thanks to everyone who supported the team on a big day for the program.
The team races again next Friday as they host the 'Rice Twilight' on senior night.
