Spartan Invite Recap

On Friday, the track & field team competed in the Spartan Classic at Oak Lawn.  The Crusaders placed 5th overall. The top performer of the day was Matt Pikus who placed 1st in the shot put & 2nd in the discus.  Also earning medals with 3rd place efforts were Andrew Straley in the 800m & Jameer Murphy in the high hurdles.  At the Frosh/Soph level, event champions were the 4x2 team of Ben Moreno, Eric Walker, Alex Rom & Travon Clay as well as the 4x4 team of Nick Purley, Clay, Rom & Nick Ramirez. Tomorrow the team will travel to Marmion Academy.
